Membership and Rehearsal Information

 

Membership is open to adult singers in the Western New York area. An audition is not necessary. 

 

Springville Community Chorale presents two performances annually, December and May. These are presented in Springville with venues determined when concert dates are scheduled.

 

Rehearsals

Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings from 7 until 9 at the First Presbyterian Church at 38 N. Buffalo Street, Springville, NY 14141.  

 

Registration

Collection of annual membership dues and disbursement of music is September and January at the First Presbyterian Church at 38 N. Buffalo Street Springville, NY 14141.  Annual dues are $30.00. 

 

Member expectations

Attend rehearsals, work outside of rehearsals to learn the music and come to rehearsals prepared to sing as a group. Rehearsal attendance conflicts should be brought to the attention of your Section Leader. Only 4 absences are allowed unless arrangements have been made with the Music Director.

 

Section Leaders

Each voice section is assigned a Section Leader. Members are expected to communicate with their Section Leader for rehearsal attendance conflicts, to get rehearsal notes if they have missed a rehearsal and questions concerning rehearsals and concerts.

 

Rehearsal cancellations

If Springville Griffith Institute is closed for inclement weather, or if after school activities are canceled, our rehearsal will be canceled. Any other cancellations or change notifications will be made via email.

Members can also serve on the Concert, Publicity/Communications or Library Committees.
