Fall 1994
Former church choir director, Sandi Mears responds to a request to begin an adult vocal group. Springville Community Chorale (SCC) is created.
December 2021
SCC returns with Mistletoe and Holly Concert after performances were paused in May 2020 due to Covid 19.
September 2016
Colleen Marcello Brecker becomes Music Director.
May 1996
Springville Community Chorale’s first concert is performed at First United Methodist Church, Springville, NY. SCC begins the cycle of a Spring concert with a wide variety of themes and musical selections and a Christmas concert featuring traditional carols and winter themed selections.
May 2008
The Great Race Commemorative Concert celebrated Springville resident George N. Schuster, the winning driver of the 1908 Great Automobile Race–New York to Paris.
2011–2016
SCC is fortunate to have interim Music Directors Georgia E. Miller, Scott Campbell, Robin Smith and Don Orton while the Steering Committee seeks a permanent Music Director.
2011
Sandi Mears retires from her position as Music Director. A Steering Committee is formed to continue direction and management of SCC.
2017
Steering Committee applies for 501(c) 3 status.
2018
Springville Community Chorale, Inc. becomes a 501(c) 3 organization.
2019
SCC is invited to perform at the Boston Town Band Christmas concert in Boston, NY.
